The rediscovered bridge

In the middle of the hilly East Jutland hill country, hidden between Horsens and Brædstrup, lies a historical gem. Den Genfundne Bro is a beautiful steel lattice bridge over the river Gudenåen, which for over 80 years was completely buried and forgotten. Today it has been unearthed and has - with good reason - become one of Denmark's most popular and scenic excursion destinations.

Use Gudenå Camping as a base for your next adventure

In the middle of the beautiful East Jutland hill country, you'll find one of Denmark's biggest and most popular tourist attractions: The Uncovered Bridge. The historic steel truss bridge over the river Gudenåen lay buried and forgotten for more than 80 years, but today it attracts visitors from all over the country.

When you stay at Gudenå Camping, you have the perfect starting point to experience the bridge. We're located right next to the beautiful Gudenå Trail. You can choose to take the car (a quick trip of just 7 km) or you can lace up your hiking boots and follow the beautiful stage 4 of the Gudenå Trail directly from the campsite - a fantastic 9.4 km hike through raw nature.

Gudenå Camping offers great facilities and a cosy atmosphere where you can relax and recharge after an adventurous day in nature.
